How does Wheels & Bids handle payments for the car?
We're strictly a matchmaking service. Once the auction ends, we exchange contact details so you and the buyer can settle the transaction directly. We never hold escrow.
What stops fake bidders?
Every bidder verifies a phone number via SMS before placing a bid, and we maintain a permanent ban list of numbers that have failed to honour winning bids.
What is anti-sniping?
If a bid is placed in the final two minutes of an auction, the timer extends by another two minutes so you always have a fair chance to counter-bid.
Do I have to set a reserve?
No hidden reserves. You set a transparent minimum start price; every bid placed is one you've already agreed to honour.
Where in Australia do you operate?
Australia-wide. Sellers list their state and city; bidders organise inspection and pickup directly. Most cars are inspected in person before settlement.
What if my car doesn't sell?
If your auction ends with no qualifying bid above your start price, you keep the listing fee value as a relist credit and can run the auction again at no extra cost.
